Playing Tips

1
On the East Course, accuracy is rewarded—tree-lined, hilly fairways and strategically placed bunkers demand conservative tee shots rather than pure distance.
2
The West Course features wider fairways and flatter terrain, so you can be more aggressive off the tee but remain mindful of bunkers protecting landing zones and approaches.
3
Bentgrass greens are generally true and can play firm in summer, so focus on hitting approaches to the proper side of the hole and dialing in pace to avoid three-putts.
4
Check wind direction on exposed or elevated tees and adjust club selection accordingly, as breezes around the Ishikari/Eniwa area can affect mid- and long irons.
5
Use the 9-hole short course for warm-ups and to work on your short game—it's ideal for beginners and juniors to gain confidence before tackling the full 18/36.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
Hokkaido features long, snowy winters that often limit play, cool and low-humidity summers ideal for golf, and occasional breezy conditions—weather can change quickly in shoulder seasons.
Best Season to Play
Late spring to early autumn (roughly May–October), with June–September offering the most stable, pleasant conditions and the greens at their best.
