The overall length rewards distance off the tee but accuracy is important on sloping fairways and uneven lies.

Bentgrass greens generally roll true, so spend time reading subtle breaks and control approach spin to avoid running past pins.

Exposed ridgelines and hilltops can create variable winds, so check wind direction at each tee and factor it into club choice and shot shape.

Soft spikes are recommended and wet conditions after rain will reduce roll on fairways and greens, changing yardage expectations.
