Hilly terrain and noticeable elevation changes mean you should adjust yardage for uphill and downhill shots and expect variable bounces.

Being right on the Pacific coast, wind often affects club choice and ball flight—favor lower, controlled trajectories on breezy days.

Bentgrass greens renovated by Reese Jones tend to be well‑contoured and can run true and firm, so hit approaches to the correct level and read subtle breaks carefully.
