Playing Tips

1
Aim for smart tee placement rather than maximum distance because the rolling-hill layout rewards angles into the greens more than raw length.
2
Check which green is in use and adjust your approach as Bentgrass surfaces tend to be faster and truer while Zoysia (Koma) greens play firmer and slower, especially in summer.
3
Fairways are generally generous, but approach shots demand precision since subtle slopes and fringe areas can make recovery shots and putts difficult.
4
Watch the wind on elevated tees and open holes as breezes can be variable and will influence club selection for long irons and drivers.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
Kakegawa has a mild maritime-influenced climate with humid, hot summers and cool, relatively dry winters, a rainy season around June and occasional typhoon-related wind and rain in late summer to early autumn.
Best Season to Play
Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) offer the most comfortable temperatures and stable conditions with spring blossoms and autumn colors, while rainy season (June) and peak typhoon season in late summer should be avoided.
