About This Course

Sanyo International Golf Club, managed by Accorida Golf, offers a comfortable and enjoyable golfing experience in Yamaguchi Prefecture. The 36-hole course features two distinct layouts: the East Course is flat and long with wide fairways, while the West Course is shorter but demands strategic and accurate shots. The club has introduced Cool Carts equipped with powerful fans to keep players refreshed during hot weather. From June 2025, using carts on the fairways will require a small fee. Conveniently located near major interchanges, the club also provides a shampoo bar for women’s locker rooms, adding a touch of relaxation after your round.

Playing Tips

The East Course is wide and long so you can be aggressive off the tee with a driver to take advantage of generous landing areas.

The West Course is shorter but more strategic, so prioritize accurate tee shots and position play to leave the best approach angles.

Exposed holes can be affected by coastal winds, so always check wind direction and adjust club selection accordingly.

Greens are bentgrass and tend to roll true, so spend time reading subtle breaks and be cautious with long lag putts.

In hot weather use the Cool Carts to stay refreshed, and consider the paid fairway-ride option (from June 2025) to save energy and improve recovery between shots.

The area has a humid climate with a rainy season in early summer, hot humid summers mitigated by sea breezes, and generally mild winters with little snow.

Best Season to Play

Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) offer the most comfortable temperatures and stable conditions for scoring and enjoying the course.

Dress Code

During play, please refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans that are not sold as golf (sports)wear. Please wear soft spikes or spikeless golf shoes during play. For safety and heatstroke prevention, wearing a hat during play is recommended.
