About This Course

Kawasaki Riverside Golf Course (Short Course) is a nine-hole public riverside layout in Higashifuruichiba, Saiwai-ku, Kawasaki. The course has a total par of 34 and uses Korai grass on its greens. Its short-course format is suited to golfers seeking a compact round in an urban setting, as well as players looking to practice approach shots, short-game control, and scoring. As a riverside facility, the course provides a straightforward and accessible way to enjoy golf within Kawasaki, with the nine-hole routing allowing a round to be completed in less time than at a full-length 18-hole course. The facility is presented as a short course rather than a conventional championship layout.

Playing Tips

1
Use the nine-hole, par-34 layout to prioritize solid tee shots and accurate approaches rather than attempting overly aggressive recovery plays.
2
Because the course is relatively short, distance control on approach shots and avoiding unnecessary three-putts will have a major influence on scoring.
3
The open riverside environment can expose shots to changing breezes, so check the wind before selecting clubs, especially on longer holes.
4
The Korai-grass greens may feel different from modern bent-grass greens, so spend time gauging their pace and break before relying on aggressive putting lines.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
Kawasaki has hot, humid summers, mild winters, and occasional rain or typhoon conditions, while the open riverside setting can make breezes more noticeable than in surrounding urban areas.
Best Season to Play
Spring and autumn are the most comfortable seasons, with mild temperatures and generally better conditions for walking and short-game practice than the hot, humid summer months.
