Shin Tokyo Metropolitan Golf Course

About This Course

Shin Tokyo Metropolitan Golf Course is a compact nine-hole riverside course on the Arakawa, close to central Tokyo. Often associated with the origins of riverside golf in Japan, it offers a practical alternative to a full-length round, with a par of 31 and playing times suited to golfers with limited schedules. The layout is generally flat, but its natural riverside contours create varied lies and modest undulation. Willow trees, ponds, embankments and the characteristic wind of the river environment add definition and can make club selection demanding, especially on breezy days. With affordable year-round fees, the course accommodates beginners, seniors, families and experienced players alike. It is also suitable for golfers who want a shorter round for practice or recreation.
