The hilly routing means club selection is critical—expect uphill and downhill lies that can add or subtract distance, so take one club more on long uphill approaches.

With a modest overall length (about 6,154 yards) accuracy from the tee is more valuable than pure distance, so prioritize fairways to set up mid-iron approach shots.

Bentgrass greens are typically well-maintained and can be relatively quick and true, so spend time reading subtle breaks and control pace on downhill putts.

Being close to the coast, several holes can be affected by sea breezes and gusts, so factor wind direction into both tee and approach shots, especially on exposed ridges.
