Playing Tips

Narrow fairways reward accuracy off the tee, so favor controlled long irons or fairway woods rather than trying to bomb it with the driver on every hole.

Hilly terrain and frequent elevation changes make club selection crucial—take an extra club for uphill approaches and consider less club for downhill shots.

The single, fairly large bentgrass greens roll smoothly and can be quick, so focus on lag putting and try to leave approach shots below the hole when possible.

Wind can be a factor on exposed tees and ridges, so check the breeze before each shot and adjust aim and club selection accordingly.

With few adjacent holes and plenty of trees and seasonal plantings, play strategically to the safe side of fairways and greens rather than always attacking pins.
