Prioritize accuracy off the tee rather than distance because tree-lined fairways and well-placed ponds punish errant drives.

On the downhill 14th be mindful of the elevation change and wind while controlling your approach to enjoy the views of Sakurayama Dam and Himeji Castle.

The 18th requires a precise second shot over water to reach the green, so play conservatively from the tee if you’re out of position.

Bentgrass greens are described as soft and receptive, so be aggressive with approach shots but pay close attention to subtle breaks and pace on putts.
