Playing Tips

1
While many fairways are broad, tree-lined routes and well-placed bunkers reward accuracy off the tee—prioritize position over pure distance.
2
Approach shots should focus on distance control because the bentgrass greens are receptive but can have subtle undulations.
3
Take special care on the finishing hole where a large pond comes into play and can penalize overly aggressive approaches.
4
Factor wind into club selection on exposed holes, as Hokkaido breezes can significantly alter ball flight, especially on long par 4s and par 5s.
5
Use the on-cart GPS to identify hazard locations and plan conservative routes around water and bunkers to avoid big numbers.
