About This Course

Yorii Country Club is an 18-hole hilly golf course located in Saitama Prefecture, not far from the Tokyo metropolitan area. Set in a lush, green landscape where the Arakawa River flows from the Chichibu Mountains to the Kanto Plain, the course preserves much of the natural terrain and trees. Fairways are generally wide and fairly flat, offering a comfortable playing experience. Playing Tips

Fairways are generally wide and fairly flat so you can be aggressive off the tee, but prioritize placement on the opening 400+ yard par‑4s where a well-placed drive sets up the hole.

Because the course preserves natural terrain and trees, approach shots often require accuracy to avoid tree-lined rough and protect angles into the green.

Bentgrass greens tend to be true and receptive so aim to leave approach shots below the hole and take careful note of subtle breaks when putting.

Wind can channel through the valley from the Chichibu Mountains, so check wind direction on long holes and adjust club selection, especially on exposed tees.

Local Weather Patterns

Winters are cool and generally dry with little snow, summers are hot and humid with occasional afternoon thunderstorms and the risk of typhoons in late summer, and light to moderate breezes often funnel down from the Chichibu Mountains through the Arakawa River valley.

Best Season to Play

Spring (April–May) and autumn (October–November) offer the most comfortable temperatures, clear skies, and stable playing conditions.

Dress Code

Please refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts and jeans that are not sold as golf (sports) wear. Please wear golf shoes with soft spikes or spikeless soles. For safety and heatstroke prevention during summer, wearing a hat is recommended.
