Yamagata Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 hill course in Yamanobe, set amid broad views of the Zao Mountains to the east, the Asahi Range to the west, and Mounts Gassan and Hayama to the north. Each hole features links-like contours of varying scale, with bunkers and ponds placed to create strategic choices. The greens vary in shape and demand precise distance control, as pin positions can call for different trajectories and amounts of roll.
