About This Course

Mogami River Green Park Golf Course is a riverside 9-hole course located along the banks of the Mogami River in Yamagata Prefecture. This flat but lengthy course offers scenic views, especially in April when you can enjoy cherry blossoms alongside the snow-capped Hayama and Gassan mountains. Designed by Tatekawa Kensetsu, it features bentgrass greens and provides a peaceful golfing experience in a natural setting. Reservations will be available through Rakuten GORA starting July 2025.

Although the course is largely flat, its overall length rewards long, accurate tee shots to reach par targets.

Being a riverside course, wind can be gusty and changeable so check wind direction and club up or down accordingly.

Bentgrass greens are generally true and can be moderately fast, so focus on accurate approaches and careful reads to avoid three-putts.

Spring conditions can leave fairways soft with less roll, so factor reduced rollout into distance calculations and consider playing conservatively on approaches.
