Take advantage of the generally wide fairways by keeping tee shots conservative to avoid tricky approach positions created by natural undulations.

Account for elevation changes—club up for uphill approaches and club down for downhill shots as yardages can play differently than the marker.

Watch the wind coming off the Nasu mountains on exposed holes and adjust your club selection and shot shape accordingly.

Bentgrass greens are well maintained but subtly undulating, so prioritize speed control and carefully read breaks.

Use the forward ladies' tees and the three-course routing to shorten some holes and create easier scoring opportunities if you struggle with distance.
