Playing Tips

1
The course's mountain terrain has frequent elevation changes, so adjust club selection for uphill and downhill holes (usually add a club uphill, subtract a club downhill).
2
At 6,874 yards the course plays long, so prioritize fairway position off the tee over always trying to hit maximum distance.
3
Zoysia (komi-type) greens can be firm with subtle breaks, so focus on landing the ball on the correct side of the pin and controlling approach speed.
4
Wind from the Kanto Plain can be variable on exposed ridge holes, so read the flags and play conservatively when gusts are present.
5
When fairway cart access is allowed, use the cart to gain better angles into elevated or sloping greens to avoid long uphill approaches.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
Kanto inland mountain weather: hot, humid summers with a rainy season in June–early July and occasional typhoon activity in late summer; mornings can be foggy and winds off the plain can gust on exposed ridges, while autumn is generally stable and clear and winters are cooler with possible frost at higher elevations.
Best Season to Play
Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) offer the most pleasant temperatures, stable skies, and the best visibility for mountain and distant views.
