Wide, mostly flat fairways reward a conservative tee shot—favor accuracy over pure distance to keep out of trees and off strategic mounds.

Strategic mounds and tree lines mean tee placement is often more important than length, so aim for the middle of the fairway to open the best angles into greens.

Bentgrass greens are relatively true but feature subtle undulations, so take care reading breaks and expect faster speeds when the surface is firm.

Light to moderate coastal breezes can influence club selection on exposed holes, so check wind direction before each shot.
