Playing Tips

Because the course exceeds 7,000 yards, carry enough club into the longer mid-length par 4s and plan for distance off the tee.

The front nine features ponds and well-placed bunkers, so prioritize accuracy over distance to avoid hazard recovery shots.

The back nine plays more like a tree-lined woodland layout, so focus on tee placement to leave favorable mid- to short-iron approaches.

Greens are bentgrass and on this relatively flat course they can be receptive but subtle—take time to read breaks and keep your putting smooth.

Watch for seasonal lake breezes from nearby Lake Biwa and stronger winds during typhoon season, and adjust club selection accordingly.

Best Season to Play

Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–November) offer the most comfortable temperatures and stable conditions, with autumn providing the clearest skies and firmer fairways for better scoring.

Dress Code

During play, please refrain from wearing clothing such as T-shirts or jeans that are not sold as golf (sports) wear. Please wear golf shoes with soft spikes or spikeless soles during play. For safety and heatstroke prevention, wearing a hat during play is recommended.
