About This Course

Ota Futaba Country Club is a scenic 27-hole golf course located in Gunma Prefecture, featuring a hilly terrain with views of Mount Akagi and Mount Asama on clear days. The course offers a variety of challenges across its three main layouts: the relatively flat and longest Atago Course, the short but demanding Tenno Course with its complex undulations, and the Goshonoin Course, which has been recently renovated to become wider and more strategic. Continuous improvements ensure an engaging experience for golfers, while the course is well-maintained with bentgrass greens and soft spike shoe policy.

Playing Tips

1
The overall layout is hilly so club selection must account for uphill and downhill lies and changing elevations on many holes.
2
Use driver on the relatively flat, longer Atago Course to set up reachable par 5s, but avoid getting overly aggressive into narrow landing areas.
3
The Tenno Course is shorter but has complex undulations—favor accuracy over distance and focus on approach shots to receptive parts of the greens.
4
The renovated Goshonoin Course is wider and more strategic, allowing you to take smarter risk-reward lines where appropriate.
5
Bentgrass greens are generally soft and receptive but can show subtle breaks, so pay close attention to pace and read putts carefully; note that soft spikes are required.
