Playing Tips

The front nine is quite hilly so prioritize correct club selection and controlled, tactical shots rather than trying to overpower holes.

The back nine is generally wider—take advantage of driver opportunities but aim for safe landing areas to avoid strategically placed hazards.

The course sits on an exposed hillside with ocean views so wind can be strong and changeable; always check flag direction and adjust yardages for wind and elevation.

Numerous bunkers and water hazards are positioned to punish wayward tee shots and approaches, so favor placement and conservative layups when trouble lurks.

Greens are Zoysia (korai) with visible grain and subtle undulations, so expect moderate speed and spend time reading breaks carefully before putting.

Okinawa has a subtropical maritime climate with hot, humid summers, a rainy season in late May–June, and a typhoon-prone period from summer into autumn, while exposed coastal hills often experience steady sea breezes and occasional strong gusts.

Best Season to Play

Late autumn to spring (November–April) offers the mildest, driest conditions and the lowest typhoon risk, making it the most comfortable time to play.

Dress Code

During play, please refrain from wearing clothing not sold as golf (sports) wear, such as T-shirts and jeans. Please wear soft spikes or spikeless golf shoes while playing. To prevent accidents and heatstroke, wearing a hat is recommended during play.
