Playing Tips

1
Positioning off the tee is important because the hilly terrain and strategically placed bunkers and valleys can severely penalize wayward drives.
2
Pay close attention to elevation changes and adjust club selection accordingly, taking one extra club for long uphill shots and one less for downhill approaches.
3
Approach shots should favour the centre or low side of greens since bentgrass greens are well contoured and can be quick, making recovery putts from above difficult.
4
Many holes require play to a particular side of the fairway to open up the green, so plan tee shots to leave the best angle for your approach.
5
Wind can be variable on exposed ridges and calmer in the basin, so check conditions at the tee and on the ridgelines and adjust trajectories and club choice.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns

Best Season to Play
Spring (April–May) and autumn (October–November) are the best times to play when temperatures are mild, foliage can be attractive, and course conditions are generally at their best.
