Playing Tips

1
Take advantage of the wide fairways by aiming for position rather than pure distance, but keep in mind the course plays long at about 6,794 yards.
2
Moderate elevation changes make club selection important—use one more club for uphill approach shots and one less for downhill shots.
3
Many holes are bordered by birch trees so prioritize keeping tee shots straight to avoid trouble and choose conservative lines where fairways narrow.
4
Greens are bentgrass and can be firm and fast in summer, so focus on accurate approaches and careful reads of subtle breaks.
5
Wind can pick up suddenly on exposed ridges, so check conditions before each tee and favor a controlled trajectory when necessary.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
Niseko has a cool, maritime climate with mild summers and very snowy winters that close the course from early November to late April; winds can pick up on exposed ridges and overall precipitation is generally lower than much of mainland Japan.
Best Season to Play
Late spring through early autumn (May–October) is best for play, with cool, pleasant summers and especially clear, colorful conditions in September–October.
