About This Course

Niseko Golf & Resort is an 18-hole course set in the rolling hills of Hokkaido’s Isoya district. Located about an hour from Sapporo by car and accessible by train and taxi, the course is closed during winter from early November to late April. Opened in 1974, it features wide fairways bordered by birch forests, allowing relaxed play for all levels. Notable holes offer stunning views of Mt. Yotei, one of Japan’s famous mountains. Playing Tips

Take advantage of the wide fairways by aiming for position rather than pure distance, but keep in mind the course plays long at about 6,794 yards.

Moderate elevation changes make club selection important—use one more club for uphill approach shots and one less for downhill shots.

Many holes are bordered by birch trees so prioritize keeping tee shots straight to avoid trouble and choose conservative lines where fairways narrow.

Greens are bentgrass and can be firm and fast in summer, so focus on accurate approaches and careful reads of subtle breaks.

Wind can pick up suddenly on exposed ridges, so check conditions before each tee and favor a controlled trajectory when necessary.
