Playing Tips

The tree-lined front nine is tight and rewards accuracy off the tee, so choose fairway woods or long irons rather than bombing every hole with a driver on narrow tee shots.

The hilly back nine features significant elevation changes, so adjust club selection for uphill and downhill approaches and allow extra yardage on long uphill shots.

Greens are bentgrass and generally receptive but have subtle breaks, so prioritize distance control and lag putting to avoid three-putts.

Mountain and valley winds around Mt. Yotei can be gusty and changeable, especially on exposed holes, so check flags and play conservatively into shifting breezes.

In spring expect softer, sometimes wet turf from melting snow, while autumn yields firmer fairways and good run—adjust spin and approach distances accordingly.
