Factor wind heavily into club selection for every shot since coastal gusts often alter ball flight and distance.

Keep tee shots conservative and prioritize fairways because crosswinds and seaside rough can punish overly aggressive drives.

Approach shots require attention to wind and elevation off the sea; play an extra club into headwinds and one less with tailwinds.

Bentgrass greens can be relatively quick and receptive; take time to read subtle slopes and avoid aggressive long putts that leave difficult comebacks.
