The IN 12th is a famous short hole that carries over the sea, so choose a conservative club and factor wind and carry to avoid the hazard.

Bentgrass greens can be firm and quick on sunny days, so prioritize precise approach shots and spin control to hold the putting surfaces.

Use lower, penetrating ball flights into the wind and favor controlled shots over maximum distance to keep the ball in play.

On firm seaside fairways you can use run-up shots to your advantage, but avoid lines that allow the wind to push your ball toward coastal hazards.
