Playing Tips

1
On the Ayama Course prioritize tee accuracy over pure distance because the long-to-mid holes reward good positioning for easier approaches.
2
The Iga Course’s flatter American-style routing is forgiving off the tee but demands precise mid-iron play into well-placed greens.
3
Expect mixed green behavior—Bermuda on some Ayama greens will play firmer and faster in summer while Korai on parts of Iga will be slower in cooler months, so adjust landing and spin accordingly.
4
Many holes sit on gentle hills or exposed ridges so always consider wind direction and club up or down for gusts and elevation changes.
5
Play smart on long par 4s and par 5s by laying up to known yardages and targeting the safer side of undulating bent greens.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
Located inland in Iga, the area has hot, humid summers with occasional typhoon influence, mild and stable springs and autumns, and cool winters with only light occasional snow, while exposed ridges can produce variable breezes.
Best Season to Play
Spring (April–June) and autumn (September–November) offer the most comfortable temperatures and best course conditions for play.
