Fairways are relatively narrow with undulating lies, so prioritize accuracy off the tee rather than pure distance to leave easier approach shots.

Bentgrass greens are well maintained and can be moderately fast, so spend time reading subtle breaks and controlling putt speed.

Multiple ponds and water hazards come into play around several holes, so favor conservative tee shots or layups when hazards threaten the intended landing area.

The tree-lined layout rewards controlled, lower trajectories and shot shaping to avoid blocked approaches and tight landing corridors.

Wind from the nearby coast can be variable, so check conditions and adjust club selection, especially on longer par-4s and par-5s.
