Because the course sits around 1,000 m elevation, the ball typically travels farther than at sea level so consider clubbing down (roughly one club) on full shots.

Many holes are exposed on the highland plateaus, so check wind direction and strength before every shot and play a lower, controlled ball flight into strong gusts.

Tree-lined approaches among larch and birch penalize wayward tee shots, so prioritize position and angle to the green over outright distance off the tee.

Greens are bentgrass and can be firm and true at altitude, so focus on distance control into the putting surface and avoid leaving long putts; read subtle breaks carefully.

Use the GPS-equipped two-seater carts to plan yardages and pacing, but observe the no-drive areas around greens and on short holes to avoid penalties.
