Bentgrass greens are generally smooth and can become quick when firm, so pay attention to speed and try to leave approach shots below the hole.

Elevation changes affect yardage significantly—take extra club for uphill shots and reduce yardage for downhill lies.

Wind in the Kanto inland area is often light to moderate but can be gusty on exposed tees and ridges, so check wind direction before key shots.
