The course sits on rolling hills so club selection must account for frequent elevation changes—play one club more or less as needed when hitting uphill or downhill.

Three distinct nines (Sakura, Fuji, Tsubame) offer varied challenges so plan tee shots to leave the best angle into each green rather than always trying to hit driver.

Bentgrass greens are well maintained and can be quick with subtle contours, so take time to read breaks and control approach spin to avoid long downhill putts.

Proximity to Tokyo Bay means wind can be a factor—check wind direction on exposed holes and adjust club selection and shot shape to compensate.
