Favor accuracy off the tee and prioritize fairway position over distance because the mostly flat, gently sloping layout rewards good angles into the greens.

The OUT course has a calmer, garden-like feel with tree-lined holes inspired by Kenrokuen, so precision on approaches is important to avoid run-offs and collection areas.

The IN course is more open with views toward Mt. Ioh and can be noticeably windier, so adjust club selection for crosswinds and gusts on longer holes.

Greens are bentgrass with moderate speeds and subtle contours, so take time to read breaks and avoid long lag putts, and be mindful of bunkers and water features guarding some approaches.

Kanazawa on the Sea of Japan side experiences a rainy season in early summer, humid summers with sea breezes, cool wet winters with possible heavy snowfall, and generally mild, breezy conditions in spring and autumn.

Best Season to Play

Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–November) are the best times to play when temperatures are mild and course conditions are most pleasant, while the rainy season in June and heavy snow in winter are less ideal.
