About This Course

Ito Golf Club is a scenic 18-hole course located on gentle hills at the southern tip of the Itoshima Peninsula in Fukuoka Prefecture. Surrounded by lush greenery, with views of both the sea and nearby mountains, the course was opened in 1976. It was co-designed by professional golfer Yoshimasa Fujii and then Kyushu Electric Power president Kiyoshi Kawabayashi. Known for its strategic layout, the club hosted the Japan Senior Pro Championship in 2009. With a par of 72 and Bentgrass greens, Ito Golf Club offers a rewarding challenge in a peaceful, natural setting.

Being on the Itoshima Peninsula, seaside winds can be variable—check wind direction on elevated tees and adjust club selection accordingly.

Fairways tend to be on the narrower side, making recovery from off-line shots more difficult, so favor accuracy over risk on doglegs and tighter landing areas.

The best times to play are spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) when temperatures are comfortable, visibility of the sea and mountains is good, and weather is generally more stable, avoiding the rainy season and peak typhoon period.
