About This Course

Iki Country Club is the only golf course on Iki Island, located near National Route 382 by the Iki Fudoki Hill. The course gently wraps around Katsumoto Dam, preserving the natural greenery with water features like ponds and streams throughout its 9 holes. With a par of 36, the course offers a pleasant yet challenging experience, featuring subtly undulating greens and water hazards that demand careful play. Its peaceful setting and thoughtful layout make it a unique golfing destination in Nagasaki Prefecture’s Kyushu region. Soft spikes are recommended for playing on its well-kept Zoysia grass greens.

Playing Tips

Play conservatively off the tee because ponds and streams come into play on several holes and precise placement matters more than distance on this short 9-hole layout.

Expect subtly undulating Zoysia greens that can hold slower putts but still produce sharp breaks, so take extra time to read the line and favor conservative approach shots to the center of the green.

Adjust club selection for elevation changes around Katsumoto Dam, taking one less club on downhill shots and one more on uphill approaches when needed.

Watch the wind closely as island sea breezes can change quickly and affect both trajectory and distance, so confirm wind direction before each shot.
