Playing Tips

1
Adjust club selection for elevation—take one less club for downhill shots and one more for uphill approaches.
2
The front nine has longer holes framed by planted flowers, so prioritize accurate tee shots to leave manageable approach distances.
3
The back nine features more elevation changes and mountain views, so play conservatively on blind or sloped approaches and aim for the center of the green.
4
Bentgrass greens tend to be smooth and can run quick when firm, so spend time reading subtle breaks and focus on distance control on longer putts.
5
Wind on the hills can be shifty—check gusts on exposed tees and consider changing club selection against the wind.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
Being inland in Nara, expect hot, humid summers with occasional sudden rain, mild and pleasant spring and autumn conditions, and cool winters with occasional chilly winds; the hilly routing can feel breezier than nearby lowlands.
Best Season to Play
Best played in spring (April–May) for comfortable temperatures and flowering fairways, or in autumn (October–November) for crisp weather and good visibility of the surrounding mountains; summers are hot and humid while winters are cool but playable with heated carts.
