Playing Tips

The course is fairly flat but lined with pine trees, so accuracy off the tee is essential to avoid tricky tree-lined lies and blocked approaches.

Numerous strategically placed bunkers protect landing zones and greens, so prefer conservative tee shots and well-placed layups on longer holes.

Exposed seaside holes can be heavily affected by crosswinds and headwinds from the Genkai Sea, so check wind direction and adjust club selection accordingly.

Greens are bentgrass and typically true but can play firmer and faster on dry or windy days, so allow extra pace on your putts and pay attention to subtle breaks.

Many middle and long holes reward distance but penalize wayward shots, so manage risk by aiming for safe targets and focusing on position into the greens rather than always trying to reach in regulation.

Coastal Kyushu weather brings mild winters, hot humid summers with strong sea breezes, a rainy season in June–July, and occasional typhoons in late summer/early autumn; windy days are common on exposed holes.

Best Season to Play

Spring (March–May) and autumn (October–November) offer the most comfortable temperatures, clearer skies and more stable conditions for seaside golf.

Dress Code

Please refrain from playing in jeans, camouflage pants, hot pants, or extremely short mini skirts on the course. Also, wearing a hat during play is mandatory.
