At 7057 yards with a mountainous layout, pay close attention to club selection for uphill and downhill shots to avoid coming up short or overshooting the green.

Many holes require carries over valleys and ponds, so prioritize distance control and conservative tee shots when water is in play.

Exposed coastal-facing holes are prone to wind, so check conditions and adjust by a club or aim accordingly to control trajectory.

Zoysia (kōrai) greens tend to be firmer and slower with subtle breaks, so focus on lag putting and reading the slopes carefully.

When in doubt off the tee, play conservatively to keep the ball in play on narrower or downhill fairways and leave a manageable approach into the green.

Located on the Sea of Japan coast, Maizuru sees cold, sometimes snowy winters, humid early-summer rainy season, occasional strong coastal winds, and a typhoon risk in late summer, with spring and autumn generally calmer.

Late spring (April–June) and autumn (September–November) are the best times to play for mild temperatures and stable conditions, while summer brings heavy rain and typhoon risk and winter can have snow and freezing conditions.

Jackets, shirts, slacks, and leather shoes are recommended inside the clubhouse. *During the peak summer period from July 1 to the end of August, jackets are not required. Please refrain from wearing T-shirts, jeans, sneakers, or sandals inside the clubhouse or on the course.
