Many holes are designed so the green is visible from the tee, so prioritize tee position to leave straightforward approach shots rather than always trying to maximize distance.

Sea breezes from Ōmura and Sasebo Bays can be changeable and affect club selection, so check the wind on every tee and adjust accordingly.

Bentgrass greens can run firm and fast when dry, so favor approaches below the hole and focus on precise distance control for putts.

Water features and bunkers are used strategically around greens, so aim for the safer side of fairways to avoid difficult recovery shots.

The hilly routing includes downhill and flat holes that can add or subtract yardage, so choose clubs conservatively on downhill tee shots to avoid overshooting.
