The course features bentgrass greens and welcomes players using soft spikes only. Please note that the club is closed during winter from early December to late March.

Accuracy off the tee is important because many holes are lined with white birch and larch and errant drives are often blocked by trees.

At 6,879 yards the course plays fairly long, so length off the tee helps but strategic positioning into the narrower landing areas is often more valuable than trying to overpower the hole.

Hilly terrain creates frequent elevation changes, so adjust club selection for uphill and downhill shots and favour larger targets when uncertain.

Bentgrass greens can run firm and relatively quick in summer, so focus on distance control and pay close attention to subtle breaks when putting.

Wind from the surrounding hills and the direction of the Hidaka range can influence club choice on exposed tees and approach shots, so check conditions before each hole.
