Emphasize your short game—chipping, pitching and bunker play inside 60 yards are where you’ll save the most strokes at this academy-focused venue.

Being a forest-type course, tree-lined holes reward accuracy off the tee, so favor controlled tee shots over trying to overpower narrow fairways.

At about 6,130 yards total, many holes can be managed with mid- to short-irons into the greens, so play for position rather than distance.

Wind can fluctuate with seasonal fronts and typhoons, so check forecasts before you play and be ready to club up or down on gusty days.

Use the academy’s natural-grass practice areas to rehearse recovery shots and uneven lies you’re likely to face on course.
