Bentgrass greens are typically smooth and can run quickly on warm days, so take time to read subtle breaks and control long putts.

Expect variable coastal winds from the Seto Inland Sea; monitor wind direction throughout the round and adjust club selection and aim accordingly.

Many approaches play uphill or downhill—club up for uphill shots and be conservative on downhill approaches to avoid running through the green.
