Twelve holes overlook the Ariake Sea and exposed layouts mean wind can change club selection dramatically, so check wind direction at every tee.

Onwind holes benefit from a lower ball flight to reduce drift, while downwind holes can tempt you into aggressive lines—pick conservative targets when the wind is gusty.

Well-maintained bentgrass greens run true, so prioritize pace control and try to leave approach shots below the hole for easier uphill putts.

Soft-spike shoes are required, and allow extra time to account for variable coastal winds and the popular scenic views toward Unzen Fugendake.
