Accuracy off the tee is key because many holes are separated by stands of red pine and approaches can be narrow rather than relying on sheer distance.

Expect sea breezes from the south to affect ball flight on exposed holes and adjust club selection accordingly, especially in the afternoon.

Greens include both Bentgrass and Zoysia so test putts early as Bentgrass holes tend to run quicker while Zoysia can feel firmer and slower.

Because the routing is hilly near Mount Heisei-Shinzan, pay careful attention to elevation changes and take or subtract club for uphill and downhill approach shots.
