Wide fairways reward conservative tee shots, so prioritize accuracy over sheer distance to avoid tricky downhill or sidehill lies.

The layout is hilly with frequent uphill and downhill approaches, so adjust club selection for elevation changes and consider taking an extra club on long uphill shots.

Afternoon coastal winds from the Pacific can be gusty and change direction, so check wind on the cart GPS and play lower shots when winds pick up.

All carts have GPS and fairway driving is allowed, which makes course management and recovery easier—use the GPS to gauge pin positions and layup distances.

Greens are korai/zoysia and tend to be firmer and a little slower than typical bentgrass, so judge pace carefully and favour run-up shots into the fringe when pins are tucked.
