Tee-Only Swing Drill

Helps beginners learn to make contact by sweeping up on the ball. Focuses on hitting the tee to promote an upward swing path and solid contact with the driver.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1

Place a golf tee in the ground at normal tee height but without a ball.

2

Set up as if hitting a drive, aiming to clip the tee out of the ground.

3

Make a smooth swing, trying to strike the tee. This encourages an upward strike angle and center-face contact.

4

Once you can consistently clip the tee, tee up a ball at the same height and replicate the swing to hit the ball.
