About This Course

Yomiuri Golf West Course is a championship 18-hole course located in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture. Known for its wide fairways and well-separated holes, it offers a comfortable and challenging round for players of all levels. The course features five different tees to accommodate both advanced golfers and average players. Designed by Osamu Ueda, it was the venue for the 2008 men’s professional tour event, the Mizuno Open Yomiuri Classic. A short course is also available nearby, bookable via Rakuten GORA. Reservations require player names to be submitted two weeks in advance, with email communication ensured for overseas guests.

Wide fairways reward controlled tee shots, but the overall 7,196-yard length means choosing forward tees is sensible for most amateur players.

Because the layout is hilly, club selection can change hole-to-hole—expect uphill approaches to play longer and downhill shots to play shorter.

Greens are bentgrass and can be firm and well-contoured, so focus on accurate approach shots and be prepared for subtle breaks when putting.

Wind can be variable on exposed ridges, so check direction and carry distances carefully on elevated tees and approach shots.
