The front (out) nine has wider fairways and gentle undulations so you can be more aggressive off the tee to set up birdie opportunities.

The back (in) nine plays narrower and more strategic—favor accuracy and course position over pure distance to avoid trouble and leave comfortable approach shots.

At nearly 6,900 yards the course is long by Tokyo standards, so manage energy and think two-shot strategies on the par 5s rather than always trying to reach in one.

Greens alternate between Zoysia (korai) and bentgrass, so expect noticeable changes in speed and grain; check the green type and adjust your putting lines and pace accordingly.
