Playing Tips

1
Accuracy off the tee is more valuable than length because many holes are hilly with relatively narrow landing areas, so favor controlled drives over trying to overpower the course.
2
Pay careful attention to elevation changes—club up for uphill approaches and trust the roll on downhill shots as yardage can play shorter than the book distance.
3
The bentgrass greens are reported to be fast, so play conservative lines below the hole when possible and expect quick, subtle breaks.
4
Watch the two water-carry par-3s (notably the 13th and 18th); prioritize safe club selection to avoid the pond and take a conservative approach when pin placements are aggressive.
5
Wind from the surrounding valley and Northern Alps can be changeable and gusty, so check conditions before each tee shot and leave extra club into rising winds.
