Playing Tips

Accuracy off the tee matters more than raw distance because tree-lined, hilly fairways and tight landing areas penalize errant drives.

The 9th and 18th are notable downhill doglegs toward the clubhouse so club down on approaches and plan tee shots to set up comfortable angles into the green.

Greens are bentgrass with noticeable undulation and pin-dependent difficulty, so aim to leave your approach shots below the hole and take cautious putts when the pin is tight.

On exposed ridges and higher tees wind can be gusty and change direction, so always check the flag and be prepared to club up or down compared with a calm yardage.

At 6,835 yards the course plays long; lighter players should prioritize position and par-saving strategies on long par 4s and par 5s rather than always trying to reach in two.
