Playing Tips

1
This is a long, hilly course—carry extra club for long approaches and favour strategic positioning off the tee rather than always trying to overpower holes.
2
Bentgrass greens tend to be smooth and can be quick after maintenance, so pay close attention to pace and subtle slopes on approaches and putts.
3
Wind from the Pacific can significantly affect ball flight on exposed ridges and elevated tees, so check prevailing wind before each hole and club accordingly.
4
Elevation changes mean downhill and uphill lies will alter distance; commit to club selection and allow for run-out on shots into downsloping fairways.
5
Soft spikes are recommended for traction on the rolling terrain, and a conservative tee shot to the wider parts of the fairway will often set up easier second shots.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
Located in coastal Ibaraki, the course experiences sea breezes in summer and can be quite windy on exposed, elevated holes, with hot humid summers, mild springs, cool winters, and occasional typhoon influence in late summer/early autumn.
Best Season to Play
Spring (April–May) and autumn (September–November) are the best times to play with mild temperatures, lower humidity, and more stable weather; avoid midsummer heat and the peak typhoon period in late summer.
