Playing Tips

1
The front nine features wider, hilly fairways—take advantage of length but prioritize a good position for the second shot rather than always blasting driver off the tee.
2
The back nine becomes more wooded with ponds and tree-lined landing areas, so accuracy and conservative play to the safe side of hazards will save strokes.
3
Significant elevation changes make yardages deceptive—club up for uphill approach shots and club down on long downhill holes to avoid coming up short or overshooting.
4
Zoysia (Kōrai) greens are generally firmer and roll differently from bentgrass, so aim for precise approach shots to avoid long, difficult putts and allow for slower green speed.
5
Wind can be more noticeable on the open front holes, so check direction at each tee and adjust aim and club selection, and be cautious during late-summer typhoon conditions.

Weather & Seasonal Information

Local Weather Patterns
Saga Prefecture has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild winters, a pronounced rainy season (tsuyu) in early summer, and occasional strong winds and heavy rain from typhoons in late summer; breezes are more noticeable on the open front nine.
Best Season to Play
The best times to play are spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) for mild temperatures and stable conditions, while avoiding the June–July rainy season and the peak typhoon period in late summer.
